Make Collaborator accounts "inactive"

What would you like to be able to do? (One idea per form):
Make Collaborator accounts "inactive"

How would that help you?:
For compliance and Security purposes, we need to be able to temporarily suspend or make accounts inactive if a person is on extended leave or short/long term disability. Currently the only option is to "delete". The problem with this is that if there is any kind of a API key associated with that collaborator account, it gets deleted/revoked.
