Google Pay Integration via Braintree

🔍 Problem Statement

Many businesses use Braintree as their preferred payment processor. The absence of Google Pay support via Braintree limits payment flexibility and can cause checkout friction for Android and Chrome users.

💡 User Story

As a business owner using Braintree as a payment gateway,
I want my customers to have the option to pay using Google Pay,
so that they can complete purchases quickly and securely with their Android devices or Chrome browser.

🎯 Definition of Done (DoD)

• Required Google Pay merchant ID is registered and linked to the Braintree account.

• Google Pay button appears conditionally based on device/browser compatibility (Android + Chrome) and active Braintree configuration.

• Both subscription creation and one-time payments work seamlessly with Braintree using Google Pay.

• Braintree JavaScript SDK is integrated to tokenize Google Pay payment methods.

• Payment method nonce is successfully generated and passed to the backend.

• Backend uses the nonce to create a Braintree transaction or associate the payment method with a customer.
